Joseph A. Librizzi

U.S. Army

Vietnam

Born in 1944, Joseph attended Xavier High School in Manhattan and was part of the JROTC for all 4 years. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in February 1966 and received an Honorable discharge in February 1969. He served in Vietnam from June 1967 to June 1968 with the 577th and 815th Engineering Battalions as a construction surveyor (SP5/E5 rank).

He attended Pratt Institute and received a Bachelor of Architecture degree in 1974, and his New York State license for Architecture in 1975.

Joseph met his wife Rosemarie in 1969 and was married in 1971. They have 2 children and 4 grandchildren. They have lived in Westerleigh for 43 years.

Joseph joined the Thomas J. Tori Chapter 421 of the Vietnam Veterans of America on Staten Island and has been a member of the Color Guard since joining the Chapter. He is currently a member of the Chapter Board of Directors.
